• Introduction to Basic Legal Citation - Cornell University Law School Legal Information Institute [LII].
• Indigo Book - a free, Creative Commons-dedicated implementation of The Bluebook’s Uniform System of Citation. The Indigo Book was compiled by a team of students at the New York University School of Law, working under the direction of Professor Christopher Jon Sprigman. Unpaid volunteers from a dozen law schools, under the stewardship of four nonprofit student-run law reviews, have labored mightily to reach a consensus standard for the citation of legal materials. This open consensus standard was developed, with no compensation to the authors, for the greater benefit of the legal system of the United States.
• The Supreme Court's Style Guide (2016) - The Supreme Court’s Style Guide contains the style preferences of the Supreme Court, used by its Reporter of Decisions when preparing the Court's official opinions and the published United States Reports.

While most databases will provide you with citation information, it is essential you check those references for accuracy in a resource like the Online Writing Lab at Purdue. Most citations provided by databases will contain errors and it is essential for the scholarly process to have accurate citations.
