April is National Poetry Month

by Nathan Schwartz - University of Tampa on 2022-04-06T14:46:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

National Poetry Month, is a tradition started by the Academy of American Poets in 1996.
They want people to see that poetry matters and encourage us all to play a role.

The next 60 seconds

My best friend and I
Enter the ring and step to the line.
I have walked the course and
Studied the map repeatedly.
I have a plan and yet I know
I may need to improvise instantly.
Any miscommunication,
Or the slightest miscue,
Could spell disaster.
But we are here to have fun!
For the next sixty seconds,
My complete attention is focused only
On getting us through the course,
To the finish line,
Without any mistakes,
Before time runs out.
