Journalism

The purpose of this guide is to assist students in locating quality resources for their Journalism writing and research.

Spartan Articles Search

Journal Title Search (Example: Chronicle of Higher Education or JAMA)

Subject Databases

Search journalism topics in these databases:

Google Scholar Search

Google Scholar collects all open access (free) materials on the web, so always double-check to make sure what you're finding is suitable. Google Scholar also includes much material which is not available in the library databases (but is typically available through Interlibrary loan).

If you are not on campus, you need to adjust your settings in Google Scholar so it can search the library's databases.

For more information about effective use of Google Scholar, see our handout.

Using Interlibrary Loan

Search WorldCat or Google Scholar for items worldwide.

If you cannot access the article or book from our library, consider making an Interlibrary loan request. See the Interlibrary Loan guide below for more information.
