Here you will find information on the various venues available to UTampa musicians on and around campus.

"Students from any major are encouraged to perform in Music Department ensembles and to enroll in other music courses. Music courses may be used to fulfill the Humanities/Fine Arts component of the Baccalaureate Experience requirements. Any music course may be used, although a maximum of four credit hours of studio/performance-oriented courses (e.g., Studio lessons or ensembles) may be used to satisfy this requirement."

Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation's mission is to further the pioneering vision of the choreographer, dancer, and cultural leader Alvin Ailey by building an extended cultural community which provides dance performances, training and education, and community programs for all people.

ADF has remained committed to serving the needs of dance, dancers, choreographers, and professionals in dance-related fields. ADF’s programs are developed based on its mission: to encourage and support the creation and presentation of new modern dance work by both established and emerging choreographers, to preserve our modern dance heritage through continued presentation of classic works as well as through archival efforts, to build wider national and international audiences for modern dance, to enhance public understanding and appreciation of the art form and its cultural and historical significance, to provide a sound scientific and aesthetic base for professional education and training of young dancers, and to maintain a forum for integrating and disseminating information on dance education.

CPR’s mission is to support the development of new works in contemporary dance, performance and related forms, and to promote awareness of and appreciation for contemporary performing arts.

Cross-Cultural Dance Resources promotes the holistic understanding and appreciation of the diversity and significance of dance as a human universal in all cultural contexts through active research, publication, consultation, and public presentation.

Formed in 2017 as the merged entity of the Congress on Research in Dance (CORD, founded 1969) and the Society of Dance History Scholars (SDHS, founded 1978) DSA is both grounded in and extends the work of those two organizations by bringing together hundreds of dance studies scholars and artists, expanding publications, conferences, working groups, awards and membership benefits.

NASD, founded in 1981, is an organization of schools, conservatories, colleges and universities. It has approximately 80 accredited institutional members. It establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees and other credentials.

The National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and promotion of high quality education in the art of dance. NDEO provides the dance artist, educator and administrator a network of resources and support, a base for advocacy, and access to programs that focus on the importance of dance in the human experience.

SIBMAS is the International Association of Libraries, Museums, Archives and Documentation Centres of the Performing Arts. We promote research in the performing arts, facilitate networking among our members and share resources about their specific collections and the performing arts in general.

SDC is the theatrical union that unites, empowers, and protects professional Stage Directors and Choreographers throughout the United States.
