Specialists analyze over 60 behavioral indicators to keep the community aware of the growing threats and to keep academia protected from exploitative operations.
This policy establishes the criteria for identifying deceptive, fraudulent, and/or predatory journals for inclusion in Predatory Reports. The Journal Predatory Reports Board uses the following criteria to evaluate all journals suspected of deceptive, fraudulent, and/or predatory practices. Each identified behavior listed is assigned a score based on the severity of the offense. The behaviors are grouped according to relative severity and subject matter.
