Using Google Scholar

You can use Google Scholar to search the library's database collection (though we recommend starting with Spartan Search). Below are instructions on how adjust the settings in your browser so Google Scholar knows you are affiliated with The University of Tampa.

It can be beneficial to use several different search engines to track down information, especially when starting a search. Consider using Google Scholar as a supplementary tool if you are not finding what you want.

Google Scholar's "cited by" function is much more robust than the "cited by" function found in most databases and may be a useful tool for tracking down more scholarship.

Keep in mind that Google Scholar defines scholarship much more broadly than most professors. Check with your professor or a librarian if you are uncertain about an article you are interested in using.
