Spartan Search Guide

How to Place Items on Hold

After signing in, you gain the ability to place holds on physical books and other items in our collection, provided that the item is currently checked out to another patron. Here's a simple guide on how to do it:

1. Search for the item you want in Spartan Search. A checked out item will show as "Not Available" in Spartan Search. If you select the status, more information on the item will pop up.

2. Select "Request" in the item's record.

3) Within the request form, you'll have the opportunity to go over the item's "Terms of Use," select a pickup date according to your preference, and include any extra comments you might want to share. Once you've completed entering this information, click on the "SEND REQUEST" button.

How to Check the Status of Hold Requests

To review your requests, simply go to the "My Requests" section within your library account. There, you can track the status of the items you've requested.

The status will be labeled as "Not Started" initially, indicating your position in the queue until the book is ready for checkout once more.

Once the item becomes available, you'll receive an email notification.
