Please submit new requests by September 1 or March 1 to allow for trials in the fall or spring semesters.
If the trial and evaluation prove successful, the resource will be considered for inclusion in the following
fiscal year’s budget. Please note, this process may take 9-18 months to complete.
Submit completed form to your liaison or library@ut.edu
The Acquisitions Department of the Macdonald-Kelce Library would like to inform all faculty members of the procedures for ordering Library materials (below). Before submitting a request, you should check the catalog on the library homepage as we may already have the item in the collection.
Please send your requests for purchases to your liaison librarian.
When ordering, the following information will help us get exactly the material requested: *
--> If you found what you need online, please include a link to where you found the book, journal, DVD, etc. Worldcat.org provides complete bibliographic information.
--> Each department has an allocated fund that's determined annually. If you have a large or overly expensive order, please check with your liaison librarian regarding available funding.
--> We will notify you by email when your requested materials become available for use.
--> Book acquisitions may take several weeks, as the items have to be ordered, received, cataloged and processed. Keep this in mind, so that your syllabus doesn’t depend on a title that may not arrive in time for your class! We always try to get your requests to you as quickly as possible. Let us know in advance what your needs are, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
* If you are required to submit materials with a department chair signature, please use this form below and return to the appropriate library liaison:

Current Database Trials
Occasionally, the Macdonald-Kelce Library is able to offer temporary access to research databases. This provides students, faculty, staff, and librarians a trial period to review them for possible acquisition. University of Tampa patrons will have temporary access from campus to these database trials.
Access to trial databases is restricted to users that are on-campus unless otherwise noted.
